6:45pm KO

Aberaeron Reserves 1 (Endaf Williams)

Felinfach Reserves  0

With the weather being significantly better than the previous game against Bont, the reserves had another large squad to choose from against Felinfach’s second team. The improvement in weather meant that Aberaeron were able to keep the ball on the floor and kept a good proportion of possession in the first half. There were, however, a lack of chances from either team, and both sides went in at half time with the score 0-0.

As with the last game, the second half brought an almost completely different starting eleven from the beginning of the match. A change to an unfamiliar formation brought on more chances for both teams, with Felinfach having a goal disallowed from a free-kick. However, 10 minutes before time the deadlock was broken. Endaf Williams, who was shifted to central midfield only minutes earlier, managed to get a shot off from outside the box which went past the Felinfach goalkeeper to make it 1-0.

A good win for the Reserves, with players getting more games under their belt and starting to get some match fitness. The Reserves’ next game is Crannog Reserves away on Friday the 9th of July.
